Young girlFood for the children of Machao Orphanage

... a substance consumed to provide nutritional support for the body.

The right to food is a human right derived from the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which recognizes the right to an adequate standard of living, including adequate food, as well as the fundamental right to be free from hunger.

Through your previous donations, the children of MACHAO now have a place to live (as of August 2009), clean water to drink (as of November 2010), electricity (as of August 2011) and chickens (as of July 2012). They continue to need FOOD and a sustainable existence.

Help us help them. Your donation will go towards the purchase of:
• a solar pump for irrigation
• seeds for planting fruit and vegetables

Your donation is needed by the end of May, 2013.
